Set up AI phone answering

AI answering captures missed and after-hours calls, detects urgency, creates leads, and alerts the contractor.

Missed call capture, lead conversion, and voice provider setup.

Steps

  1. 1Open AI Answering.
  2. 2Choose the answering mode: after-hours, missed calls, or always answer first.
  3. 3Enter business hours, fallback number, greeting script, service areas, and emergency rules.
  4. 4Use the simulated inbound call tool to test lead capture before connecting a live voice provider.
  5. 5When ready, connect a provider such as Twilio, Vapi, Retell, or Bland through the server-side connector.

Tip

Until live provider credentials are configured, Maxx uses mock call simulation so the workflow can still be tested.
